How do I pivot my audience as I transition a new side of my business?

Am I creating a new business or new product?
And how does social media fit into that?

In this coaching session, we have some hang time with my friend and business leader Kate of LoveWell Weddings.

She asks, “How do I pivot my audience as I transition to a new side of business?”

Maybe you’ve had a similar question and want to understand how to pivot your business effectively. If you’re already established and have credibility in your niche, take your Online community on the journey with you as you develop and expand into new products and resources.

Hit play on our coaching session above to learn some tips and tricks in how you can pivot powerfully.

HERE ARE SOME KEY QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER:

  • What is the problem my current business is solving?

  • Does this new product or resource fall under a branch of my business and fits under the structure of the current business model? This is helping you determine if you are starting a new PRODUCT or a NEW company.

  • Can I segment my current email list, community, or social media audience to align with that new product or branch of the company?

    • If the answer is no:

      • Create different social medias

      • Consider launching a new business

    • If the answer is yes:

      • Brand it with a similar theme

      • Have it be a piece of content you roll out along with your other materials

In Kate’s case, we saw that she’s offering two products: event planning and a digital course.

As she makes the shift in brand, I'm advising she continue to post event highlights but also take people on the journey of course development and give them a say in creation. Learn what is MOST important for them and then capture that in the course!

Are you in a similar spot? What’s ONE next step you can take today?
