FB First Getting to Know God’s Voice Discussion + Teaching for September 25 Class

Hey FB fam. Just a reminder that Wednesday, September 25 we’re meeting in the sanctuary for the Global Impact Celebration. We will resume our in-person class the following week. To stay on schedule, I’ve provided discussion topics in the comments of this post and a teaching video on Prayer.

Video is above. Recap is the first 8 minutes, then teaching on prayer starts 8ish minutes in.

  • Teaching Notes - DO YOU PRAY THIS WAY?

    • Matthew 6:9-14
Thesis: God provided prayer as a way to receive His supernatural perspective. Let’s prioritize prayer.

    • 1. Prayer is not performance. It’s a supernatural positioning.

      • Psalm 55:17

      • Acts 3:1

      • Matthew 6: 5

      • Matthew 6: 6

      • Mark 1:35

    • 2. Prayer is not a way to manipulate God, It’s an authentic moment to be in God’s presence.

      • Matthew 6:7

    • 3. Prayer isn’t a monologue, it’s a dialogue.
