THE CHALLENGE
The client started with a question: How do you take an ancient text and help people understand what it means for their lives today? The idea was to use a book of the Bible as a starting point for exploring the Christian faith and turn it into a learning experience that felt approachable, practical, and relevant to everyday life.
THE STRATEGY
I developed and built ten modules, video teaching scripts, a companion book, and a digital ecosystem. The goal wasn't to help people learn more information. It was to help them develop a deeper understanding of their faith and see how what they believe connects to the way they actually live.
Every part of the experience was designed to help participants learn, reflect, ask questions, and put what they were learning into practice.
The goal was to make a rich, sometimes complex subject feel clear and personal for the person on the other side of the screen.
The ten-module experience takes participants through a progression of ideas, using video instruction and the companion book to provide both explanation and space to engage with the material. Rather than overwhelming people with information, the content was structured to build understanding step by step.
The video scripts brought the teaching to life. The book gave participants something to return to, think through, and work through at their own pace. Together, the two created an experience that could meet people wherever they were in their journey.

THE RESULT
The project is in the final stages of development, and the client’s response to the initial project helped reveal that the idea could become much more than an online, self-paced course for those starting off in the faith. As the client and their team reviewed the scripts and saw how much depth and practical value the material offered, they recognized that the content could serve a much wider audience.
The vision expanded to create a resource that could meet people wherever they were in their journey and give them a meaningful way to learn, grow, and engage with the ideas. The strong content framework created room for the project to evolve beyond an individual learning experience into a resource that could also serve in-person groups.
By shaping the material into compelling, accessible stories, the project will extend beyond its original goal and become a required curriculum for thousands of people across the church. The client also approved the project to be developed with flexibility and scalability in mind, allowing the content to be repurposed beyond the original church experience for a broader, worldwide audience.
The project is still taking shape, but that shift in vision became one of its most meaningful outcomes: the content opened the door to a much bigger experience than originally imagined.
